Our Mission

Welcome

We are Lynnfield Educational Trust, a volunteer-run 501(C)3 organization established by a dedicated group of parents and Lynnfield community members in 1990.

The Lynnfield Educational Trust Board of Directors is a volunteer group that includes not only parents of school-aged children, but also Lynnfield residents and educators who have an interest in enhancing educational opportunities for our youth.

LET meets twice a year to review grant applications submitted by LPS Educators, and raises funds through three primary methods:

  • Annual Appeal (mid-February to mid-March of each calendar year)

  • Apple Award Nominations (tri-annual nominations of LPS Educators with a suggested $25 donation)

  • Spelling Bee (annual fundraising event with teams from local schools, organizations, families, etc.)

LET encourages anyone interested in promoting the mission of the group to attend our meetings. Please reach out for more information: LynnfieldEducationalTrust@gmail.com

Mission

The Lynnfield Educational Trust is an independent, non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to enriching and supporting public education in Lynnfield. Established in 1990, the LET raises money from individuals and businesses through direct appeal, as well as through community events such as the Spelling Bee. These funds are channeled to the schools through grants for new and innovative projects that would not be funded with the typical school budget. The goal of LET is to inspire Lynnfield’s Educators, students and community to help make Lynnfield’s great public schools even better.
